Beach Surprise
I too love the jelly rolls. And have finished piecing the Pineapple Surprise quilt from Pam and Nicky Lintott's first book. Here it is: CraftyMummy and I were both taken by the same fabric range: Beachhouse by Moda.

Hushabye quilt - WIP
Since last weekend with Di, I've been getting quite a lot done on the jelly roll quilt I planned. The jelly roll I'm using is Hushabye fabric by Tula Pink, plus some white-on-white fabric from my stash (determined to get that stash down this year!). So this morning I had the white fabric ironed, ready to cut, carefully lying on the floor. Then I realised we have a 6 year old's birthday party here tomorrow, so it had to go. So what do I do? Cut it, of course! Figured that way I don't have to iron it again;-) So now its another step closer to getting done. But back to party prep now...

Quilting tips...
I just came across some great quilting tips on a blog called Eiloren. She has added some great details to make quilting on a domestic machine easier. Thanks, Neroli!

A little sewing...
Di and I were lucky enough to get together for a little sewing this afternoon. Di finished piecing this gorgeous star from this book
with part of a jelly roll. I'm adding this to my "want to do" list for sure! The quilt in the book has 4 stars but one would be the perfect size for my quilt hanger. Meanwhile I did some applique for my boy, Mr Happy, on his sheet bag for Kindy. I also decided on a pattern to make with my new jelly roll. So much for scrapbooking this week...
